Norwegian A2: understand messages and explain everyday situations
Publisher: NorskMentor. Original practice material; not an official test or level assessment.
At A2, work further with familiar situations and exchange simple everyday information. These exercises help you explain a message, describe something that happened and connect short sentences. Start without an account.
From a short answer to an explanation
Expand «Jeg kommer sent» with a reason: «Jeg kommer sent fordi bussen er forsinket». Then add a solution: «Dere kan begynne uten meg». Practise information, connections and what the reader needs to know.
Connect practice to something concrete, such as a work shift, appointment or shopping trip. Use vocabulary from the situation in different forms so you can explain both what happens now and what happened yesterday.
Read and respond to a message
First identify what has changed. Then note the time and what you need to do. Write a reply confirming that you understood the message.
En endret avtale
Hei, Lea!
Klokka elleve passer for meg. Jeg møter deg ved resepsjonen i andre etasje og tar med notatene.
Practise the past and connections
Describe yesterday through three events in order, using words such as «først», «etterpå» and «til slutt». Add «fordi» to one sentence to explain a reason. Ask whether another person could understand what happened without extra questions.
Start supporting an opinion with a specific example. Practise keeping a conversation going with a follow-up question. Work on the skill you find hardest; reading, writing and speaking may develop differently.
Try it yourself: open tasks with explanations
Choose an answer, or open the answer key directly without an account. These tasks are practice, not an official level assessment.
